We partner with ASNAPP, an NGO in West Africa, to give traditional plants like Kinkéliba new purpose and economic value while establishing more sustainable farming practices. New sustainable and organic farming methods have improved yields while helping to protect local ecosystems. By weaving these powerful-yet-untapped ingredients into our formulas, we provide local women with a new set of skills and a stable, dignified income.

At Acaderma, clean beauty begins with biotechnology. Using advanced techniques such as TLC profiling, column chromatography, and supercritical fluid extraction, we precisely isolate and purify potent natural bioactives while minimizing toxic solvents, pollution, and waste.

Our packaging brings this science to life: the gradient on each bottle is inspired by the chromatography fingerprint of its featured patented ingredient, connecting biotechnology, sustainability, and design.

Acaderma uses post-consumer recycled materials wherever possible and designs packaging with both performance and environmental impact in mind. Our refillable packaging system helps reduce single-use plastic by allowing customers to reuse the primary container and replace only the inner product component.

By combining recyclable materials with refillable design, we aim to reduce packaging waste, extend the life of each container, and move toward a more circular approach to beauty packaging.

Built on innovation, we exist to inspire the next generation. CEO and co-founder Dr. Shuting Hu is an active volunteer with the IFSCC — the largest non-profit for cosmetic science — and has been invited multiple times as a speaker at Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, UIUC, and other leading universities, sharing her experience in science-to-market translation and biotech entrepreneurship to empower more women in STEM.
