Sustainably Sourced

We work closely with an NGO (ASNAPP) in West Africa to give traditional plants (like kinkeliba) new purpose and economic value, as well as establish more sustainable farming practices. By infusing these powerful-yet-untapped ingredients into our products, we provide local women  with a new set of skills and a stable income.

Green Technology

At Acaderma, clean beauty isn’t just a trend—it’s what fuels our way forward. As a leading biotech company, we’ve invested our time and resources into discovering and developing green ingredients and materials. We remain committed to minimizing our carbon footprint and creating a better future for all by optimizing our technology to reduce pollution and waste. In lieu of toxic chemicals and non-organic solvents, we use a cutting-edge extraction and purification process, along with TLC (thin-layer chromatography) profiling, column chromatography, and supercritical fluid extraction technologies.

Recyclable Materials

We already use post-consumer recycled materials wherever possible, but our new packaging is refillable—a difference that could dramatically reduce our plastic usage by more than 40% in 2020.

Support Women in STEM

As a brand built on innovation, we are eager to inspire and support the next generation of trailblazers. CEO and co-founder Dr. Shuting Hu is an active volunteer with the IFSCC, the largest non-profit organization for cosmetic science. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with other women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
